If Vergil is the final fight for Nero, then maybe Dante could even be the final fight for V, but I have no idea how to gauge the strength of his character, but his abilities to enslave demons could actually make him a good candidate against this new Dante. I definitely think the last boss fight for Dante will be the Prince of Darkness character, and Nero's could either be Vergil or this new feral demon Dante.
Which in turn makes me think this could be what could make players cry, Dante finally does as Vergil once said, obtains more POWER, and loses his humanity in the process of becoming strong enough to kill the Prince of Darkness. The Perfect Devil Trigger is said to give Dante power even greater than his father Sparda, but the side effect is that he loses himself in this form, potentally becoming feral. I theorize that Nero's campaign will focus on him and Vergil, while Dante will be about him and this new Prince of Darkness. But DMC 5 appears to be a different story with multiple interviews saying how this time Dante will have to get serious and the big bad is even stronger than Mundus. Which I believe is the hypest goddamn concept, and it wouldn't have made sense for DMC 4 as Dante never had to really even struggle.
